Going with the current trend of a paradigm shift from the traditional seminar to webinar, Yashaswi’s IIMS organized a webinar on “Soft Skills Training for Online Placement Opportunities”.

The speakers in the webinar were Tikam Shekhawat, Chief Manager HR at BCCL (Times of India Group), Hemangi Dhokte, Lead HR, Actuation Technologies Emerson AUTOSOL and Manisha Khomne Head HR, Yashaswi Group. Students, Faculty Members from different Management institutes across Maharashtra joined the webinar making it a great Success.

Shekhawat while guiding the students urged them to create a personality of their own which will help them in the development of their career. He also cited the examples of bollywood actors, saying that people are different and each one has a charm of its own. It is not possible to impress everyone. As a student one needs to focus on ownself .In today’s scenario we need to work on the digital world, it’s very much important to understand before we speak. He also shared some his experiences from his student days and the learning’s from it.

Hemangi Dhokte emphasizes the level of success one achieves in the corporate position depends greatly on how effectively one can communicate with his/ her message. One such crucial factor for career success is soft skills, online and offline interview body language should be confident and positive. It is one of the important traits that the corporate hunt for. She also guided the students by giving them tips for dressing smart for the interview. She asked the students to have a hobby, as hobby is something that keeps us moving on in this world.She also shared on how she merged her hobby and passion into her career.

Manisha Khomne shared effective ways of preparing resume and presentation skills. She also talked about adaptability and being flexible in the job. She talked about the challenges that today the student’s might face and how to improve the employability by acquiring the right skills. She concluded with saying that numbers may drive the business but people drive the numbers.

A powerful social learning strategy is through sharing experiences. The speakers shared their experiences which set a perfect platform for the students to learn and gain an understanding of the world of work.
