Pune – BNI Pune East- BNI Pune North, Suratwala Business group and PCB’s Aero Hub recently organised cricket league ‘BNI Quest 2020′. The whole tournament was played at HotFut Sports Complex in Koregaon Park. By winning the finals Team ‘Inspire Terminators’ became the first champions of BNI Quest Cricket League. They faced the team ‘Winners’ in the final.

In the final match of this tournament, Inspire Terminators defeated ‘Team Winners’ by 6 wickets. While batting first, Team Winners put up the total score of 68 runs after losing 7 wickets. Whereas while chasing the target of 69 runs, Varad Karve from the Team Inspire Terminators hit 49 runs in 18 balls. He was awarded ‘Man Of The Match’ title  for the key role he played in winning the final match for Team Inspire Terminators. Ruchita Jain (7 wickets) became the Woman of the series whereas Swapnil Lodha (218 runs) became Man of the series. Swapnil Lodha and Vasu Patel hit most numbers of 6s and 4s respectively. Team Deccan Royals won the ‘Fair Play Team’ title.

MLA Sunil Tingre, Ex-Indian Cricketer Chandu Borde marked their presence at the venue to cheer up the players. Chandu Borde appreciated the participation of the women in the tournament. He said, “Indian Women’s cricket team is playing very good cricket on an international level. Sports events like BNI Quest will definitely inspire talented women cricketers.”

Jatin Suratwala, Managing Director, Suratwala Business Group, Hitendra Suratwala, vice-president, Digonta Das, CFO and Trupti Nanal, Bhushan Lohia, Pranav Chitte, Vinayak Sanas, Anand Bellad, Swati Vaidya from the organizers committee were present during the tournament. 32 teams and more than 400 players participated in this two day cricket league. Thousands of punekars witnessed and enjoyed the matches. Informed the organizers.
